MMMM, sugar. Reilly loves to eat so he really enjoyed his cake. Especially the fondant drum sticks.

Fall Fun

A day at the Dallas Arboretum with our friends Owen and Wyatt. The place was very beautiful, my pics won't do it justice. It was the place to see lots of pumpkins and have lots of photo moments.

Introducing Batman and Robin. Robin had a great time at our neighborhood Halloween party. Batman didn't want to leave the bat cave, but had a good time once he found the bounce house.

Nan got to come with us to the festival. I think she had more fun than both boys.

Aunt Bre got to stop by that weekend and we carved a pumpkin.

Well all is well here in east texas. Just wanted to post a few picks of the boys. They are getting so big. Hopefully all the computer issues are fixed and we can actually post a little more often than every three months.

Noah recently got glasses. The day he got them I forgot to actually just show him how he looked in the mirror and later in the day he saw his reflection and said . "Hey, Harry Potter!" So we call him Noah Potter sometimes.

WE'RE HERE

Well we made it. We've moved to greener pastures (literally-because it actually rains here)!!! We are excited to be a part of the metroplex. It was a fast move. From Matt's notification about getting the new position to his first day was only three weeks, so we are very sorry to those of you who we did not get to hug good bye! Be assured that we miss you all!

Matt has already started his new job and really likes it so far. He is excited to be a part of growing and progressive district that is planning and doing things for the future of the district. Also one that uses up to date technology and lets him have (share) a secretary. He's not sure how that will work, but I am sure he will manage:)

The boys and I are good, we have been getting reaquianted with old friends who live in the metroplex and exploring a bit. They have about adjusted, but just as that happens we have started our search for a church. Boy there are a lot of choices here so we may visit quite a few as we are not real sure where we will end up living more permanently. So if any of ya'll out there have suggestions we are all ears.

MOVING DAY

Noah was very concerned on moving day that the donuts for our'crew' get loaded. He kept sneeking them on to the truck.

Our Crew - our nephews Josh, Jake, Conner and Alec They worked hard and were great. We were lucky they were in town visiting, which was another reason we decided to move in a hurry before our help headed back home.

We Are Moving!!!

Dear three people who check this blog,

We are off to the DFW area and have only a few weeks to get there. We are thrilled with this opportunity for Matt and are looking forward to being in a large town with lakes and stuff to do and most importantly some family near by!!!!!!! So I will ask your forgiveness for not posting much the past few weeks and probably will not for a few more weeks. We have a lot to do and very little time to do it so I better get packing.

Noah Funnies

Since I have posted alot about Reilly , here are some fun things Noah has been up to.In March Noah, Reilly and I took our first road trip with out Daddy. Actually it went very smooth, no major crying episodes. It was nice. We went to see my Mom graduate from pastry school. At the school they served great food and here Noah just grabbed a huge piece of bread and started gnawing away.
On that same trip Noah also had his first Starbucks (my mom and I love Starbucks and stop often when we are together). Noah requested some coffee as my sister and I were getting out of the car to go order. They have stuff for kids (who knew) so we ordered a kids cocoa and he called it his chocolate and cream. He really enjoyed it. I told him they only sell it in Austin. Shhh, that will be our secret. Also you may notice the head phones. My mom has a DVD player in her car so he was listening to his movie with his wireless headphones. Remember the days of 'I spy."

'Workin Man', Here's Noah helping us tear down an old building that was in our back yard, cleaning up old shingles.

Noah has also recently has started to love Legos because of the Star Wars 2 lego game that he plays with Matt. So we finally got a small real set today and he made this apple tree. I was pretty impressed.

Not much going on here, but thought I would post a few pics for fun.

Noah really loves helping with Reilly especially at bathtime. He really enjoys having a brother.

Mr. Reilly is picking his head up quite a bit now. He is very good and just a great baby who so far pretty much lets his parents get sleep. He is scooting around a little on the blanket. We have a feeling he is going to do things pretty quick to try to keep up with big brother. He is smiling quite a bit although I have not gotten a great pic of that yet. He smiles alot at Noah and at Matt when he gets home from work.

Maybe some of ya'll kids do this too. Noah will just say words that we don't know he knows totaly in context. Over the holiday we drove to the Metroplex and close to Ranger HIll area where it gets hilly he looks out and says "Mommy look at the mountain." Since there is nothing close to a mountain in our region and we have not taken him to see any we wonder how he learned what a mountain was. He also was talking about his throat the other day. And again it was totally in context. When we ask him about it he just says yeah a mountain, or yeah, my throat and looks at duh of course I know these things.

Well alot has happened since we last posted. Of course we were very busy traveling Texas over the holidays and had great visits with both of our families. But before the holidays I have to mention that Matt turned 40!!! We had good time on his birthday and just spent the evening with our boys. Matt got a playstation 2. I think I have played it more than him!!!

We also had a visit to Santa, Noah would not go near him, but Reilly didn't mind.

Reilly wasn't really impressed with what Santa left him.

Long awaited Buzz Lightyear......

and Woody! Thanks Nana and Papa. Noah has played with Woody for many hours already.

We also are now pet owners. Grandmother got us a turtle , well I guess it was really for Noah, but I am having alot of fun with him too. Matt as you can imagine, has not quite warmed up to him yet, but he has lots of time to get used to him because I read that they can live 40 years.

So here's a pic of the newest member of our family...Introducing Frog the turtle.

All the traveling wore Reilly out. He was happy to get home. He's now two months old and getting to be a little rolly polly. More pics on that later.

Thanks everyone for their gifts for us and the boys, we all got way too much, but we had a great time with everyone.

One Month

Happy one Month Reilly!!! He has already changed alot and is getting more alert every day. He is getting really big too. He's almost 11 pounds now.

On Thanskgiving we got a gift of both of them asleep at the same time. Turkey Coma.
Started getting ready for Christmas this weekend and got the tree out. We haven't decorated it yet, but Noah has. He likes to put random toys and things in the tree. I think the blanket is a nice touch.

We have finally decided to update the blog. We also changed the name etc so update your link, if you have a bookmark or favorite.

Right now we are just waiting for the baby to be born. We have decided to go with a midwife and do it the old fashioned way this time. It comes with rave reviews from trusted friends who have tried it. The due date in Nov. 1 for anyone who forgot so soon and very soon our new little son will be here.

Noah is great and excited about having a little brother. Matt of course is equally excited (he may be the most excited, he is very good with babies and just loves them, well his anyway). I am a bit apprehensive because I will be doing the whole thing, but ready for this child to be out here in the world so I can have my belly back.

Well we just wanted everyone to know things were back up and running, (blog wise)and we will be posting any news etc here now.
